What does “eco-friendly” mean at Mint Eco?
2023-2024 Mint Eco Annual Voluntary Environmental Audit: Now Available
At Mint Eco, A Fresh Approach To Washing Cars™ impacts all aspects of our operations, including the chemicals we use and our environmental impact. We have committed to performing an annual self-audit of all business units to ensure we are utilizing the best practices and products for the environment. We have checked that our products meet the standards of national agencies as well as stricter standards that we developed: such as being biodegradable, non-toxic and VOC compliant, and safe for use by the Mint Eco staff.
Although our process does not allow for used chemicals or water to enter local water systems, we have elected to only use products that would be safe for the environment if it did enter local water systems.
what actions have we taken to be “green”?
-
When washing at home, the runoff from your car and the chemicals you use will go directly into the stormwater drain system, which leads to our local waterways and ecosystems. At Mint Eco, the water used in our wash process is filtered and reused, until it is sent into the sewer system.
We use environmentally-sensitive chemicals during the wash process, which means our used water can safely go into our local sewer system. It also keeps harmful substances out of our local waterways and ecosystems.
Mint Eco is also WaterSavers certified, which means we use less than 40 gallons of water per wash on your vehicle!

We have removed single use paper towels from our bathrooms and replaced them with state of the art Dyson hand dryers. We also changed our toilet paper across the company to a sustainable bamboo option, diverting pounds of paper from local landfills and delivering a more sanitary and eco-friendly bathroom experience.
Mint Eco has also replaced plastic water bottles with an eco-friendly water bottle fill station at all locations that will keep track of how many plastic bottles our Mint customers and staff will be keeping out of landfills and our oceans. At the same time, we replaced our free coffee pods and coffee supplies with compostable and eco-friendly materials.
Finally, as a part of our “Green is Good™” brand, Mint Eco has provided environmentally friendly products and sustainable alternatives for sale in our lobbies.

Mint Eco is getting involved with local government to discuss additional actions that can be taken locally for sustainability. We are currently participating in the Adopt-A-Park program in Palm Beach County, where we are completing cleanups and projects in order to protect our county’s natural assets. Every Mint Eco location has adopted a park that they maintain regularly, and all new locations will adopt a park as a part of their grand opening celebrations.
We are also performing annual self-audits to identify areas of our operation requiring improvement, and implementing strategies to address these areas. The results of our 2022-2023 Voluntary Environmental Self-Audit are available here.
