Two chemists were playing around one day, and they put some Scotch tape on a number two, pencil. The lead of a number two pencil is graphite. When you pull the tape off tape of the pencil. You can see a little bit of black on the tape. They wondered what it was…and so they started digging deeper and researching and they found that they separated some of the molecules of the graphite. And it was named graphene.

Since its discovery, graphene is the only two-dimensional structure that’s ever been found. This makes graphene super lightweight. While it’s lightweight, it’s also very strong because of its molecular structure. In addition to its strength, graphene is also able to remain very strong when stretched. Scientists say it’s ten times stronger than steel and solidifies to be harder than diamonds.

Graphene is the best and newest technology in the car wash industry. Because of our extensive research and testing, we decided that graphene is a great addition to our chemistry offerings in order to continue to provide the best in car wash technology for our Members and Guests.

The wash that now includes graphene is our ‘Mint’ wash.

It will be $25 for a single wash and $45 for the monthly membership.

We also want to make sure that our members/guests know that graphene is not the only new protectant in our highest wash. Rain-X will also be applied to the windshield during this wash. The goal in adding Rain-X to this wash is to make sure we are not only protecting the car’s body, but also the windshield. Rain-X will help immensely with water beading as well as bug deflection.

When talking about the Mint wash, think of building on the foundation of the Protect wash, but making it even stronger with the enhancements of Graphene, Ceramic, and Rain-X.

The layering of these different elements together creates the deepest luster possible on a car, as well as increases the longevity and durability of the wash.

Graphene is a much stronger molecule, but both are meant to provide a protective coating to vehicles. Whereas ceramic coatings are a silicone-based polymer that protect vehicles well, but for a much shorter period. Ceramic is great, but also does not build as well as graphene is able to because of its molecular structure.

Members and guests will see an immediate improvement in shine and gloss after graphene is applied to their vehicle! The more you wash, the deeper the shine (or, the more you wash, the better you will look). The chemistry builds on top of itself and deepens the magnification of the paint.

Graphene lasts longer than ceramic when layered upon itself. Meaning, the more you wash, the more protected your vehicle is. It also melts together with the other chemistry on the car, including Ceramic, to create a strong blend of protection. If normal chemistry only last a week (four washes per month), than a Graphene wash should last 2-3 times longer than that.

Graphene can be compared to the tunnel application of a detail – meaning, it does fill in some of the micro abrasions on the surface of the clear coat to flatten it out similar to the way a clay bar or hand wax does. It will never be as good as getting a full detail, but when it fills in some of the valleys in the clear coat, it helps reflect the light more, making the finish glossier.
